Need an Official Record?
Send a Louisiana record request to the system that owns the event:
- Criminal history and personal record review: use Louisiana State Police BCII and its fingerprint-based Right to Review process
- Court files: follow the Louisiana criminal case record routes or contact the clerk for the court that heard the case
- State custody: use Louisiana DPS&C Corrections Services or the Louisiana VINE custody channel
- Registry records: use the Louisiana State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry maintained by State Police
- Police and incident reports: contact the law enforcement agency that created the report
- Parish bookings, jail files, and local dockets: select the correct office through the Louisiana parish directory
The statewide criminal-history office is Louisiana State Police BCII-LCJIS, 7919 Independence Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70806. BCII-LCJIS also uses P.O. Box 66614, Box A-6, Baton Rouge, LA 70896 for mail. Current service instructions and unit contacts should be confirmed on the official Louisiana State Police BCII page before sending fingerprints, forms, or payment.
